Welcome to my 1st tutorial Texturing and Rendering Workflow.

NOTE: alot of people have asked me about a Corona render version, This tutorial is Universal and will work with Corona render too.
You can even use Vray materials in Corona and it will render since both Corona and Vray are owned by Chaos Group.
Corona even have a Corona material converter that will make any Vray material identical in Corona if you have any questions about this please contact me.

This tutorial will show you a complete workflow from start to finish , Modeling, UV unwrap, Texturing, Materials, Rendering and Post Production.

Overview:
We start modeling in 3ds max, then we create the UV unwrap of the model using Rizom UV then, we are moving back to 3ds max to create bake maps in Vray, then we move to Mari as our main texturing software and we create all the textures like reflections , diffuse, dust maps.
After creating the textures we are moving back to 3ds max to add these textures and create the materials for our model, then we start to do our render tests, create the camera and lighting and overall mood of the scene and render it.
And we finish with post production in Photoshop.

Content:
All 3ds max files for modeling, baking, materials and final rendering scene (2017 and 2020 versions)
Mari archive that contains the final
texturing work.
Baked textures from Vray.
Final images in RAW.
Final images in photoshop format.
Final
UV unwrapped model in .OBJ format.
17 videos in mkv format.

List of visual content:

Introduction (1 video)
This is the introduction video of this series where i talk about what to expect in this course.

Hotkeys(1 video)
In this small video I talk about hotkeys and how I will use them, to resume I try to use the less possible hotkeys so new users don't get lost while I teach.

Chapter #1 Modeling (3 videos)
In this chapter I will guide you on how I created the model, instead of the classic hours long modeling videos from others creators I will focus on the stages I created on the model and just focus on the basics the parts that I feel matter the most so you can have a better understanding of the process.

Texturing notes (1 video)
In this small video I talk about how bad topology affects the textures they can show distortion and how to solve it.

Chapter #2 UV unwrap (3 videos)
In this chapter I create the UV unwrap of the kettle using Rizom UV, i expain the basics and how to solve these kind of UV tasks from orientation, packing, cutting islands, weld and so on.
.

Baking in Vray (1video)
In this video I show you how I bake textures in vray to use them as auxiliary maps or alphas in Mari these maps are good to solve dirty parts and enhance their effects in Texturing.

Chapter #3 Texturing (4videos)
In this chapter we move into Mari to create our textures since Mari is a complex software we will use the most simple tools to achieve almost the same results than using a more complex approach, we will use the baked textures from vray as alphas and auxiliar maps, at the end we are going to create the reflection, dirt and dust textures for our kettle.

Chapter #4 Materials, rendering and postproduction

Materials (1video)
In this part we apply the textures we created in Mari to Vray materials, we start by creating the materials and render test their appearance and slowly add layers of new textures until the final material is archived into a Vray blend material.

Rendering (1video)
In this video we explore and play until we find a good looking final render view.

Postproduction (1video)
In this video we use our RAW images from vray into photoshop and we use basic tools from Photoshop to make our final image looks better.
